The holidays are right around the corner, which means it’s time to enjoy all the fun family traditions that go along with the season.
Beyond the decorating, gift-giving, cooking (and eating!), there’s something special about the time you share with loved ones this season.
So today, we’re going to share with you some our favorite holiday traditions for the whole family! And we’d love to hear from you…what do you do with your family during the holidays?
The holidays aren’t complete without those delicious once-a-year kind of treats….like Christmas cookies, chocolate bark and all-things gingerbread. Baking is a great activity for the whole family and the kids will love to help out in the kitchen, especially when they know a cookie is coming out of the oven soon!
Although ’tis the season of indulging, there are plenty of ways you can make healthier versions of these sweet treats. We’ve provided links to some of our favorite recipes below:
Dark Chocolate Bark with Pistachios and Sea Salt (experiment with other toppings as well: nuts, dried fruit, shredded coconut, crushed candy cane…the choices are endless.)
So, make some hot chocolate, turn on the holiday music and enjoy baking with the whole family this season. What are your favorite treats to make this time of year?
Gift giving is very common between family, friends and even co-workers, but school teachers are often overlooked. They dedicate so much time, energy and love into the school year, so it’s important we give them a big “thank you!” whenever we can. One of the ways you can do this is to include your kids’ teachers on your holiday “gift-giving” list. No matter how big or small it is, a heartfelt gift will make their day!

What gifts have you made in the past for school teachers? Are you a teacher and have a favorite gift that you’ve received?
Nothing says “the holidays” like Christmas lights. Whether or not you have them on your own home, many of us can agree that they help make this season extra fun and magical.
Enjoy a night with your family walking or driving around nearby neighborhoods, where you can see some of the best Christmas lights in the area!
